Custom Personnel has a client seeking a Medical Assistant for their direct primary patient/urgent care facility.

Primary function is to provide direct/indirect support to the clinician in the delivery of patient care. Medical Assistant prepares the exam room, chart, and patient to be seen by clinician and performs/implements orders for diagnostic tests.

JOB DUTIES:

• Greets & escorts patient to exam rooms, takes vitals
• Minimize patient wait time. Prepares the patient and assists with exams/procedures when needed. Anticipate provider needs per patient's reason for visit
• Administers medications & injections as ordered by clinician
• Perform EKG, in-house CLIA-waived tests and phlebotomy
• Performs ear lavages and other urgent care clinical skills required as a Medical Assistant in a primary care/walk-in/urgent care clinic
• Schedule patients appropriately and other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette
• Knowledge of sterile technique and universal precautions, use of autoclave
• Maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow
• Knowledge of medical terminology and accepted medical abbreviations
